Out of these 100 cities, the top 5 are London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Dubai. When looking at the list closer, we see two Spanish cities in the top 20 (Madrid and Barcelona). Furthermore, Abu Dhabi ranks 30th in the list, leaving behind cities like Stockholm, Brussels, Lisbon, and Seattle.
London
London, ranking first on the list, stands out as a global leader in education, culture, and business. The city ranks 3rd in Familiarity, 2nd in Education & Science, and 2nd in universities and private schools. It is also the 2nd best place for tourism.

This year, Dubai had a total score of 86/100 and featured an impressive entrance to the top 5 cities on the list. While in the 2023 report, Dubai ranked 7th in Reputation, it is the leader in this category this year. The city is also the 1st for future growth potential, 3rd in corporate taxation, 4th in working remotely, and 8th in working locally.
Barcelona (19th) and Abu Dhabi (30th)
The report highlights Barcelona’s cultural heritage and historical significance. This makes the Barcelona city a prime location among tourists and expats.
